The Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has Commissioned Oswe bridge rehabilitated by Dr Ilang Donatus, the State Commissioner for Boarder, Peace and Conflict Resolution, connecting Ebonyi and Cross River States Southern Nigeria to boost the love and unity existing between the two states.
The bridge will also be a booster for economic activities between the two States.
The Oswe bridge before now was already dilapidated as it was constructed with Iron in the early sixties but it has been revamped and rehabilitated by Dr Ilang.
The House of Representatives Member, Ogah disclosed this during the reception immediately after the commissioning held at Ojon Village Market Square in Enyibichiri Ward, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria.
The Lawmaker promised to build the main bridge with concrete and it will be larger.
“Yes, the people of Enyibichiri Alike Ward in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria are very happy with the Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because of good things he is doing in Ebonyi State. First, Tinubu has approved the construction of road from Obubara in Ebonyi State to Cross River State, he has given me enabling environment to fight doggedly through my legislative activities to bring all these things we are enjoying in this Constituency”
“I am proud to tell you that I have drilled Boreholes to every nooks and crannies of the Constituency, by God’s Grace, there are health Centers everywhere, scholarships are ongoing, recently, I offset the, WAEC, NECO and JAMB fees of students from this Constituency and beyond”
Ogah expressed joy seeing that his people are very happy with the leadership of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
The State Commissioner for Boarder Peace and Conflict Resolution, Dr Ilang Donatus said that bridge has a supper high way to Cross River.
Ilang said he is just doing this to complement the efforts of Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who is a beacon of peace in the State as he has put the state in a good light because of his peaceful dispositions in the State and beyond.
“The bridge was so bad that even passerby can not pass there with leg but as you can see, vehicle are now passing there to Izzi and Cross River State and am happy about it “
“I have given the bridge a facelift, with the Iron work as well as planking of it, as you can see the people are very happy about it and that was why I did it to boost the economy activities of the area”
“If I am going for Boarder, Peace and Conflict Resolution works, I go with Police and Army but you can see it for yourself, I didn’t even come here with even Vigilante because I am grounded at home and that was one of the major reasons I did that bridge for them “
“I invited the Honourable Member Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah to come and commission it because he is the reason why we are doing well because he has been doing well and as such, we are emulating him and mostly the Governor of the State, Francis Nwifuru “
One of the Stakeholders in the Ojon Village, Mr Azubuike Akam Commended the House of Representatives Member, Ogah for commissioning the rehabilitated brigade connecting Ebonyi and Cross River State.
The National President Alike Ikwo Youth forum, Nwele Chinua thanked Dr Ilang for the wonderful work he has done for the people of Ojon
The Town Union President Enyibichiri Alike Ikwo, Engr Chukwuma Benedict Ojogu, who is also the the State Permanent Secretary of Ministry Of Water Resources expressed joy over the good work by Ilang.
He prayed for more blessings of God upon the Commissioner.
On her part, Mrs Chukwu Susana said she is a teacher and as such, the bridge was a challenge for her to cross to the other side to do her teaching work especially during raining season.
She urged the people of Ojon and indeed the entire Ikwo people to to support President Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru, Comrade Ogah and Dr Ilang Donatus in their good work so that they can have the courage to do more for them.
