First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Honored With Ugosimba Chieftaincy Title In Enugu State

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Ugosimba 1 Enugu” by the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council. The title was conferred upon her during her two-day working visit to Enugu State.

Recognition of Humanitarian Efforts

The Chairman of the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Igwe Ikechukwu Asadu, stated that the honor was in recognition of Mrs. Tinubu’s love for Enugu State and her service to the nation and humanity. He specifically highlighted her efforts in supporting midwives, nurses, and the less privileged.

First Lady’s Response

Mrs. Tinubu expressed her gratitude to the government and people of Enugu State for their overwhelming acceptance and love. She described Enugu as a peaceful state and felt a sense of inner peace since her arrival. The title, she said, was a special honor not only to her but also to her husband, President Bola Tinubu, and their entire family.
