Enugu Police Crack Down On Armed Robbery Gang, Arrest Suspect, Recover Firearm And Snatched Motorcycle

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old suspect, Somadina Ugwueke, in connection with armed robbery and motorcycle snatching. The arrest was made possible through swift police action and active community support.

  • The snatched Q-Link motorcycle

Circumstances of the Arrest

The suspect and his accomplice, who is currently at large, boarded a commercial motorcycle along Edim Road, Nsukka, and pulled a firearm on the motorcyclist, snatching the motorcycle. However, following credible information, police operatives, assisted by vigilant community members, pursued and apprehended the suspect, recovering the exhibits.

Police Directive

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has directed that the operatives ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspect and every other member of the criminal gang, to bring them to justice.
