The Enugu State Police Command has welcomed 195 newly recruited constables who recently completed their six-month training at the Police College, Oji River.
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, charged the new officers to uphold professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
CP Giwa warned the constables against extortion, corruption, and misuse of police uniforms, emphasizing that any officer found guilty of such misconduct would face severe disciplinary action.
He also announced that the new constables would undergo intensive tactical and operational training to enhance their crime-fighting capabilities.
The 195 constables, comprising 124 males and 71 females, were part of a total of 379 recruit constables drawn from five states in the Southeast region.
They were trained in various aspects of policing and passed out on October 7, 2025, under the supervision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
