The 2nd Edition of Enugu Photo Festival has begun in Enugu, Nigeria, with the theme ‘From Ruins to Remembrance’.

The festival, which runs from November 11 to 22, 2025, aims to revisit cultural memory, forgotten sites, and spaces, as well as artefacts and hidden history in Eastern Nigeria.

Founder of Art Focus Foundation and Curator for Enugu Photo Festival, Chidera Sam-Eze, stated that the event is a platform to showcase the work of photographers, visual artists, and storytellers, focusing on Eastern Nigeria’s rich culture, history, and lifestyle.

The festival features activities such as a symposium and artist talk, portfolio review and workshop, and short film screenings. The exhibition is being held at the Public Works Department, Old Secretariat, Enugu, built in 1928.

Governor Peter Mbah’s representative, Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani, commended the organisers, saying the state government will continue to support cultural and tourism development.

Dr. Ijeoma Onyejekwe, Chief Heritage Officer, National Commission for Monuments and Museums, praised the event for promoting cultural understanding and unity.
