The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has officially decorated ninety-two (92) newly promoted senior officers of the Command.
These officers, recently elevated to their next ranks by the Police Service Commission on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, include twenty (20) Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), eighteen (18) Superintendents of Police (SP), and fifty-four (54) Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
Addressing the officers during the ceremony, CP Uzuegbu congratulated them and emphasised that the promotion should be considered a call to greater dedication, responsibility, and discretion in the discharge of their duties.
He encouraged them to let the elevation serve as motivation for increased diligence and productivity.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Chidozie Eggbath Okebugwu, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Abakaliki Road Division, expressed gratitude to the IGP for recommending them for promotion and to the Police Service Commission for approving it. He also thanked the Commissioner of Police and his management team for their support and guidance. CSP Okebugwu assured the gathering that the promoted officers would uphold their trust, remain dutiful, and strive to exceed expectations in their new capacities.
Our eagle eye reporter spotted that while officers who were promoted were being decorated with their new ranks at the police command headquarters in Enugu, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Daniel Ndukwe was being decorated with his new rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) at the living room of billionaire businessman, Arthur Eze who congratulated SP Ndukwe, and encouraged him to remain focused and even more dedicated to his responsibilities.
In his response, SP Daniel Ndukwe expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for recommending him for the promotion and to the Police Service Commission for approving it. He also thanked CP Uzuegbu and Prince Arthur Eze for taking the time to decorate him and for their encouraging words. SP Ndukwe pledged to continue to perform his duties with dedication and professionalism.
The event at the living room of the billionaire businessman was also attended by Chief Engr. Donald Ekete, the Managing Director of Eketeson Resources International Limited.
